Kitale Town.
Years in Operation:
2 Years.

$500.

Sarah Cherotich has been in business for the last two years. She has faced her greatest fears already and learned from all the challenges that the business has presented this far. Moto Hope Capital has come through for her on two separate occasions. When the covid-19 pandemic hit the country, her shop was only a few months old. The negative effects on businesses that the pandemic presented filled her with much uncertainty.

However, she did not give up on her dream. Instead, she sought out Moto Hope Capital, to help solve her business’ cash flow issues. MHC did this through the provision of working capital. Sarah was loaned $400 and $300 respectively. The money facilitated her travel to Kampala, in Uganda, to purchase handbags. She brought in the latest trends and brands that most of her customers quickly purchased.

Sarah has marked out a clientele base among the working class ladies, mostly teachers, medics, among other civil servants and businesswomen. She has an up-to-date customer database which helps her to reach out to them whenever she has brought in new stock. Moreover, Sarah knows her customers well and is open to feedback which allows her to know exactly what and when to restock. She loves the element of surprise she offers them every time she is back from Kampala. This is because she always strives to have quality, new and trendier brands all the time.

She now seeks $500 to enable her to boost the handbags stock. With this working capital addition, she foresees tremendous growth in sales and profit earnings. She has well set out plans to keep offering a unique variety of bags to meet the tastes and expectations of all her customers. The mother of one is impressed and encouraged by the gradual upward growth of her business and is doing all she can to keep things as they are if not better.
